Are you ready to weather the Castle Pines Storm?

Storming along towards their third season descends the Castle Pines Storm summer swim team. One hundred twenty-seven swimmers strong last year, the team will be holding their new family registration on Sunday, April 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at DAZBOG Coffee.

The team will be ordering new bathing suits this year, so fittings will take place at the April 10 registration as well. Returning families can register on-line beginning on March 10.

Coach Erik Goodrich will be back as Storm’s head coach this summer. The Storm parent board is in the process of hiring two assistant coaches. The team has also officially registered as a 501(c)3 which is non-profit status to help with corporate matching and fund raising.

Storm will start up practices on Tuesday, May 31, at HOA1 pool. Little kids will have a 7 a.m. practice time and older swimmers will convene at 8 a.m. The team’s first meet will be held on Saturday, June 4.

New this year will be Storm’s monthly social events which will kick off on Sunday, March 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brunswick Zone in Park Meadows.
