Pictured above, Marielle Renehen competes in the breaststroke at USA Swimming Sectionals held in Federal Way, Washington located just outside of Seattle.
Renehen competed along with anywhere from 70 to 130 swimmers in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke and in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke. Renehen made her best times in both backstroke events. “Sectionals is such a fast meet. There were even Olympians there,” said Glyris Renehen, Marielle’s mom. Renehen competes for the Rock swim team that practices at the Castle Rock Recreation Center.
