CPN Churches Look for Opportunities to Give

Here is a look at what is happening in the faith community in Castle Pines North (CPN):

Castle Pines Community Church –
Meets at Buffalo Ridge Elementary;

Services at Castle Pines Community Church are held each Sunday at 10 a.m. and feature a mixture of traditional and contemporary worship.

Special events for Christmas include a children’s program, December 16 at 10:30 a.m.; Christmas worship program 10:30 a.m. December 23; Christmas Eve service, December 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Castle Pines Community Church supports a church in the Dominican Republic (Villa Hermosa) and last summer the church sent a team there to help build needed facilities and host a Spanish Vacation Bible School for the town’s children. Plans are to send a team there again this summer. This Christmas, they are collecting new and gently used clothing for that community. Anyone interested in donating items please call the church office, 303-663-9755.

Christ the King Presbyterian Church –
Meets at DCS Montessori School;
www.christthekingpres.org
Family worship begins each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and includes Kid’s Church.

Christ the King will host an Advent series called, Why Christmas? Based on John 3:16, the series explores the celebration of Christmas with love, faith, life and hope. The “Why Christmas” series will be held Sundays during December at 9 a.m. (prior to worship services).

There will also be a Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 4:30 pm; the program will include special music and a Christmas Eve Message.

Christ the King invites the community to participate in an Adopt-A-Family ministry, coordinated in conjunction with the Douglas County Task Force, to provide Christmas presents to Douglas County families in need. For more details on the project, contact the church at 303-663-5751.

Solid Life Christian Center –
Meets at Timber Trail Elementary;
www.solidlifechristiancenter.org
Sunday services begin at 10 a.m.; classes for children are provided.

Solid Life will host a special family Christmas Service on Sunday, December 23 at 10 a.m. at Timber Trail Elementary. Additionally, the church’s youth group will be hosting its annual Christmas party on Friday, December 21 at 7 p.m. at Timber Trail Elementary for junior and senior high students.

Public Welcome at Messiah Sing-In

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a Messiah Sing-In on Sunday, December 9 at 7 p.m. This community event will feature soloists from around the Denver Metro area. Everyone is welcome. The event will be held at the church’s building in the Meadows, 3301 Meadows Boulevard, Castle Rock.
