CPN Sixth Graders Moving to Middle School

After assessing enrollment figures and parent feedback surveys, the Douglas County School District announced they will relocate sixth graders in Castle Pines North to Rocky Heights Middle School. Timber Trail Elementary and Buffalo Ridge Elementary will now be classified as “K-5” schools, as sixth graders move to Rocky Heights this fall.

The sixth through eighth grade middle school model is used throughout the other Denver-Metro area schools including: Cherry Creek, Littleton, Jefferson County, Denver and Colorado Springs. Rocky Heights Middle School is currently home to seventh and eighth graders and the school is not filled to capacity.
