Enhancement for City park
During the City of Castle Pines council meeting in November, the City Council approved Phase 1 improvements to Coyote Ridge Park. Improvements were based on feedback collected during the 2024-2025 public engagement process about future park planning. These improvements, estimated to cost nearly $4 million, focus on enhancements in three areas:
Accessibility and mobility improvements – improving walks and connections to parks plus an addition of bike racks
Playground improvement – replacing existing play area equipment and surfacing and creating an updated all-inclusive play area for all ages
Fencing at the basketball court, provide fencing at the edge of the basketball court to minimize the balls going into the drainage area
The next steps for the City will be to work with a consultant to finalize construction drawings and design for the improvements which are anticipated to begin in mid-2025 and be completed by early 2026.
