Castle Pines resident Marcio Stewart says a story in the January issue of The Castle Pines Connection about a new program he started got great results for him. Stewart was looking for people to join him in a local fitness group that would exercise together at Elk Ridge Park, since there is no indoor workout facility in the city. Six ladies have joined so far.

“Dear Castle Pines Connection, I wanted to thank you for the cool article you wrote. It attracted a lot of interest. Here’s a picture of the inaugural group,” he wrote to the newspaper.

Stewart will initially lead the workouts, which are free and will focus on aerobics, body weight resistance and core strengthening of legs and back. He has been in workout groups in the past and found them fun and good exercise. If his initial group of Castle Pines residents grows, he would like to add groups of different exercise levels and special interests, such as hiking, biking, running or walking groups.
