Got leaves?
As the seasons change, so do yard work needs. You can take your leaves to Douglas County’s fall leaf collection site, located at 1400 Caprice Drive in Castle Rock. The collection site is open for three Saturdays in November from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: November 1, November 8 and November 15. Leaves can be transported in bags but only paper bags can be left at the site. Leaves are the only acceptable items.
Douglas County professionally composts yard waste; leaves and slash are turned into free mulch for resident pickup. This service helps keep leaves and other yard waste out of landfills and storm drains. Leaves that enter the water system can bring excess nutrients that are better utilized as compost.
