Hurricane Katrina Victims Still Need Our Help!

Douglas County resident, Brad Grant, is assembling teams of individuals to travel to the Gulf Coast in February, March and April for one week to help families in recovery and restoration efforts of their homes and lives.

“Everyone has skills and experiences that can be used,” says Grant “whether it is cooking meals for team members, playing with children, or manual labor. The need is great, but the workers are few.”

Local accommodations, transportation, and meals will be provided. Teams will be coordinating the work projects with a number of established relief organizations located in the area such as Samaritan’s Purse, The Salvation Army, and others. According to Grant, “All you need to bring is your willingness to help, your positive attitude, and a few work clothes.”
