The final nails are being hammered, paint touched up, and surfaces shined and cleaned for the opening of the newest business in the Castle Pines community. KeyBank, which is located in the Shoppes at Castle Pines Shopping Center on Lagae Road (in the same shopping center as King Soopers), will open its doors on May 24. KeyBank will host a grand opening celebration on June 5 from 10 a.m. until noon. The grand opening will include a radio remote, food and fun for the kids.

“I have lived in the Castle Rock area before and have recently moved back,” said the branch’s manager, Yurich Cline. “It’s great to be back home and I’m looking forward to getting to know people in the area and building relationships with them.”

The new bank will offer safe deposit boxes, two drive-thru teller lanes, a 24-hour ATM and night depository and private offices for meetings with clients. Key Bank also has an emphasis on “green” banking and utilizes energy-efficient lighting and temperature control as well as digital “merchandizing” – essentially using video screens to alert clients to the bank’s services rather than using paper posters.

KeyBank in Castle Pines North will be the third of seven new branches KeyBank has opened in Colorado in 2010. Seven new locations were opened in 2009, and 24 existing branches are being remodeled.

“This expansion and revitalization program reflects the continued importance of bank branches to consumers and businesses who increasingly seek a mix of channels to conduct banking business,” said Jack Sparks, the vice president and director of public relations for the Colorado, Utah and Idaho district of KeyBank. “This includes branches, online and telephone.”

KeyBank is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and has more than 1,000 branches in 14 states.
