Proposed CPN School Presents Charter to Douglas County Board of Education

On October 19, proponents for a Core Knowledge Charter School in Castle Pines North presented their charter application to the Douglas County Board of Education. Parents from the CPN community attended the meeting to show support for American Academy at Castle Pines.

“Our goal is to uphold the tradition of educational excellence set by Douglas County schools,” said Erin Kane, CPN resident and Founding Board member of American Academy. “American Academy would meet the community demand for Core Knowledge and for math, science and technology.”

The Board of Education will hold a second hearing on November 3, at 5 p.m. For more information please visit www.dcsdk12.org. For more information about American Academy at Castle Pines, or to complete intent to enroll application, please visit www.aacpcs.org.
