Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) is excited to announce that this year it has 22 seniors who are recognized by the SAT / National Merit Scholarship (PSAT/NMSQT) program. From approximately 1.6 million students in our nation these students are among the top 50,000 highest scoring participants.
Of the 22 RCHS students who qualified, 11 have moved forward to a semi-finalist status. Of the top 50,000 highest scoring students, semi-finalists are now among the top 16,000 students in our nation. They are the top half of the top one percent. This is a remarkable achievement!
Please help us congratulate the following National Merit semi-finalist students:

The semi-finalists who represent a variety of academically talented high school seniors, have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring.
RCHS has the third highest number of National Merit qualifiers in the state. Many schools are fortunate to have a single representative, and RCHS is proud to have 22.
This is a fine representation of excellence in academics. Way to go Jags!
