“Walking Wonders” Raise Money for MS

Residents of Kings Crossing raised more than $1,500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s fundraising walk last May.

“It was great fun and extremely satisfying to help!” said one of the CPN “Walking Wonders,” Kelly Durie. “And, when you believe in a cause, fundraising comes easy.”

MS is a devastating disease that can attack any one of us in the prime of life. It is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.

There are about 400,000 Americans with MS. Colorado holds the highest prevalence rates in the U.S., with approximately 7,200 people living with MS. Of those with MS, 73 percent are women!

If you would like to participate and become a member of the CPN Walking Wonders, or if you would like to make a contribution, please contact Mary Williams at mwadart@comcast.net or call 303-688-2906.More information about MS is available at http://www.nmss.org/.
