Elean Gersack and her husband Michael have lived in the Castle Pines community for nearly 20 years with their two children, both of whom are now attending college. After exiting the corporate world many years ago, Elean has continued to provide communications support and freelance writing through her consulting business and is no stranger to The Castle Pines Connection; she has written many articles for the paper over the years and mentored many youngsters with a passion for writing along the way.
Elean has been involved in many volunteer efforts, including local school parent-teacher organizations and nonprofits in the greater Denver area. Elean will be writing the Angels Among Us segment each month, as well as celebrating kids who grew up in Castle Pines.
Carla Meyersohn always dreamed of working in the newspaper world, and she is excited to join The Castle Pines Connection graphic design team. Carla loves creating seasonal cards, fun gift packaging, branding, logos and developing websites for small businesses. She is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at ASU, and when not reading fantasy books and wandering into Tolkien’s Middle-earth and dressing as an elf, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and five dogs. She also enjoys hosting online book clubs and playing online chess, and she recently has become a volunteer at a puppy mill rescue.
Amy Murphy has a bachelor’s degree in business from Missouri State University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She moved from Kansas City to Castle Rock in 2006 and has called Colorado home for the past 15 years. Amy currently lives in The Village at Castle Pines with her husband, Jason, their boys, Tate (15) and Finn (13), and her beloved Westie, Kirby. After taking time to raise her family, Amy became a certified yoga instructor and life coach; offering private yoga and coaching in the Castle Pines community. She enjoys writing, hiking, yoga, and traveling with her family. Amy is also a BIG hockey fan and loves to watch the Colorado Avalanche.
