More than two hundred guests attended an elegant all-inclusive fine dining and wine sampling fundraising event to benefit the Women’s Crisis and Family Outreach Center (WCFOC) in February. The “Valentine’s Ball” event was sponsored by Bubbles Liquor World and was held at Cielo at Castle Pines.

Two dozen area chefs and wine experts treated patrons to exotic and delectable fare such as ragu bolognese, seared tuna on sesame wontons with ginger wasabi mayonnaise and daikon sprouts, pulled pork with blueberry-ghost pepper barbecue sauce, chai tea cupcakes, and a variety of accompanying wines to complement the gourmet offerings. The Valentine’s Ball event raised close to $10,000 and all proceeds went to WCFOC.

WCFOC was established in 1985 and provides programs and services that are dedicated to reducing domestic violence and family conflict through advocacy, empowerment, violence prevention and intervention, and education. WCFOC has more than 30 staff members and 300 volunteers that serve 20,000 individuals annually.
