BRE Dream Team’s Salvation Army food drive
Fifth grade Dream Team members at Buffalo Ridge Elementary (BRE) are gearing up to support the Salvation Army.
Throughout the month of November, students, parents, friends and neighbors are invited to help by donating non-perishable food items. Drop boxes are located near the front office as well as in each classroom. The kindergarten through second grade and third through fifth grade classes collecting the most items will receive a popcorn party.
Items in greatest need right now include breakfast cereal, broth or juice, soup, canned veggies and fruit, stuffing, canned cranberry, yams, pumpkin, peanut butter, canned milk, mac-n-cheese, instant potatoes and rice, canned beans (black, pinto, red, baked) ramen noodles, pasta, hard candy, jello, pudding, tuna, canned meats, canned stew/chili, and jam/jelly.
The Dream Team consists of 24 carefully selected fifth grade students. The group’s primary focus is to give back to the school as well as state and local communities. Buffalo Ridge Elementary School is located at 7075 N. Shoreham Drive in Castle Pines North.
