Castle Pines Academy (CPA), proud to be the first locally-owned and operated childcare center in Castle Pines, is celebrating its first anniversary in March.

CPA is an education-based preschool that follows Core Knowledge curriculum and offers a large variety of enrichment programs including dance, Spanish, computer classes, cooking, painting, and wood working. With ten individual classrooms and a large shared central space, the school provides daily programs for children ages six months to six years old and before-and-after school activities for children up to age 12.

“Enrollment has grown every month since opening and we are continually adding new staff members,” said Center Director Nicole Wissman.

Castle Pines Academy focuses on learning with a play-based approach, incorporating a balance of child-initiated and staff-initiated activities while emphasizing safety and cooperation. The school’s guided curriculum offers stimulating cognitive, emotional and social experiences for children.

CPA’s teachers have a minimum of five years experience with their respective age groups. This experience lays the foundation for a quality learning environment for every child to excel every day. Beyond education, children are prepared for future schooling by learning life skills such as etiquette, sharing, loyalty and responsibility.

Located at 81 Max Drive, the school opens at 6:30 a.m. with quiet time and free play for children to gently adjust to arriving at school early. Children have a wide range of age-appropriate lessons and activities throughout the day before the school closes at 6 p.m.
