Castle Pines Athletics announces spring and summer schedules

Castle Pines Athletics, a local recreational youth sports program, has announced dates for the 2010 spring and summer season. All practices and games are held at the three neighborhood parks located in the City of Castle Pines North (CPN.)

Spring Soccer –

The co-ed spring soccer program will run March 29 to May 15. Practices are held once a week and games are on Saturdays in CPN. Soccer is offered for children ages 4 years to 4th grade. The deadline to enroll for spring soccer is March 1.

The cost for the program is $75 for residents of Castle Pines North, and $95 for non-residents. The fee includes a team t-shirt and a participation trophy. A $20 late fee will apply to all registrations received after March 1, so enroll today. Volunteer coaches are needed.

Summer T-ball & Baseball –

Castle Pines Athletics has extended the summer baseball program in 2010. The T-ball and coach pitch baseball season will run June 7 to August 13. All practices and games are held Mondays through Thursdays only. This co-ed program is also for children ages 4 to 4th grade. The deadline to enroll for summer baseball is May 1. The cost for T-ball and baseball is $85 for residents and $105 for non-residents. The fee includes a team t-shirt, a baseball cap, and a participation trophy. Volunteer coaches are needed.

“We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone in the community who helped us bring organized outdoor recreation to local children,” said Lane Roberts, local owner and director of Castle Pines Athletics. “We have an exciting year of sports planned for 2010 and we hope to see everyone back on the fields again this year.”

According to Roberts, Castle Pines Athletics is also planning eight summer camps for children of all ages and will end the year with fall soccer.
