Douglas County Libraries will soon break ground on a new freestanding library in Castle Pines.  The new library will feature more than just books.  Civic spaces – study rooms, conference rooms and community rooms – will play a major role in the spatial and architectural complexion of the library.

A new artist’s rendering of the library shows that the new library will also feature playful window patterns and accent materials to help it establish a rich presence along Village Square Lane.  Its community room, on the west side of the building, will eventually look over an outdoor roof terrace.

Groundbreaking for the library is scheduled to take place some time this spring.  For more information, visit www.DouglasCountyLibraries.org.
