Castle View Park, a 21-acre park project at Castle Pines Parkway and Yorkshire Drive, was delayed last fall due to land acquision issues.
The Castle Pines North Metro District has now obtained one of the two missing parcels needed for Castle View. In late December, 5.3 acres of land was transferred to the Metro District by the Lagae family.
The Metro District is also working to obtain an additional acre of land adjacent to the Community Center parking area that is owned by Douglas County. Negotiations with Douglas County are expected to be complete in the next few weeks. Watch for more information at www.cpnmd.org.
