City of Castle Pines recognized by USPS

By Lisa Crockett

It is finally official! The U.S. Postal Service now recognizes “Castle Pines” as a correct designation for the city associated with the zip code 80108. No longer do city residents need to include “Castle Rock” in addressing mail.

Many residents and businesses in the city have been addressing mail correspondence with “Castle Pines” for some time. Until recently, however, the official preferred city designation was “Castle Rock.” Billing information for companies that city residents do business with can now safely make the change on billing information and mailed material.

Note: Residents in Castle Pines Village and unincorporated areas of Douglas County who live in the 80108 zip code still fall within the “Castle Rock” designation and should continue to address correspondence as such.

For additional information or to look up a zip code for a particular city (including Castle Pines and Castle Rock), go to www.usps.com.
