Costumes needed for the Second-Thrill Spooktacular

The Douglas/Elbert Task Force is collecting gently-loved costumes to be made available at no cost for children in need this Halloween.
Calling all former superheroes, princesses, animals, and insects. It is time to scour closets, rummage through drawers and dig through storage areas to dust off Halloween costumes for the Second-Thrill Spooktacular!
When families are struggling to pay bills or buy food, getting a child a Halloween costume is most likely low on their priority list. In addition to helping families in need with food, shelter and services, the Douglas/Elbert Task Force (Task Force) provides special memories to children by way of Halloween costumes.
The Task Force gives away vouchers to their client’s children to choose costumes for free. In order to provide this service, the Task Force is in need of gently-used Halloween costumes in all sizes. If your child has outgrown a costume or if they no longer use it for dress-up play, consider donating it to the Task Force for their Halloween program.
Costumes for the Second-Thrill Spooktacular are accepted from September 1 through September 26 at Mama Lisa’s Little Italy (across from Big O Tires) and the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce (by Safeway). Donations can also be picked up by e-mailing.. Gently-loved costumes must be in good condition with no holes, stains or missing pieces.
Leave the cobwebs behind, and help the Task Force make Halloween memorable for as many children as possible by donating all of the costumes you can scare up. Chills and thrills abound just knowing a ninja, a pumpkin, or whatever costume you donate made a child feel special this Halloween.
