Crocs wrap up

By Kathy Dunker

The Castle Crocs finished up their 2011 season on a very high note. With roughly 200 swimmers and brand new to the B Division of the Mountain High Swim League, the Crocs finished with four wins and only one loss, with a remarkable 83 swimmers going on to Championships on July 16 and an additional 35 made qualifying times for the All Stars meet on July 23.

Parent representative Kathleen Steffe said, “Finishing our sixth season with a 4-1 record in a higher division, having a record number of swimmers achieve time improvements and seeing double the number of kids qualify for the prestigious All Star meet was amazing. But what we are most proud of is being recognized by the other teams in our division for the Sportsmanship Award at the Championship meet!”

Steffe went on to say, “Our overall goal is to foster a community through the sport of swimming.  Our community of parents, coaches and swimmers really work together to create a fun and positive environment that just keeps building year after year!”
