The Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce invites kids to stop by the Castle Pines business district for Trick or Treat Street on Wednesday, October 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Castle Rock Historical Society (CRHS) invites adults to join them for a “Dusk Walking Tour of Cedar Hill Cemetery – An Invitation to Reflect and Remember.” The 40-minute tour will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, located at 880 E. Wolfensberger Road, just west of I-25 in Castle Rock. CRHS members and family genealogists Jerry and Mary Persall will guide visitors to a dozen selected gravesites in the historic cemetery, founded in 1875, and share brief stories about the deceased, some of which are early founding pioneers of Castle Rock and Douglas County. Refreshments will be served following the tour.
