Ladies and gentlemen – Start your appetites

By Elean Gersack

Denver Restaurant Week is upon us and is celebrating its ninth year. Make reservations now at your favorite restaurants or use the opportunity to try a new hot spot. More than 300 restaurants are already slated to participate this year with more signing up daily. The event will run from Saturday, February 23 to Friday, March 8.

Here’s how it works. Make a reservation at a participating restaurant (hurry – seats fill fast!) and get set to enjoy an amazing multi-course meal for the “mile high” price of $52.80 for two (or $26.40 for one), plus tax and gratuity.

“The great fun of restaurant week is gathering together friends, exploring the hundreds of menus on the website, and then experimenting and trying new restaurants or revisiting old favorites,” said Richard Scharf, president and CEO of VISIT DENVER, the owner and organizer of the event.

A new feature this year allows diners to share “Must-Dine” lists with friends on Facebook to help set even more gathering plans. A sampling of the south metro participating restaurants includes:

Castle Rock: Augustine Grill, UNION – An American Bistro, UNISCALI – Modern Italian, and Siena at the Courtyard.

Centennial: Volcano Asian Cuisine, Ivy at the Glenn, Farro Italian Restaurant, Pesce Fresco Bistro, and HODSON’S Bar and Grill.
