Construction of the Legacy Village of Castle Pines development at the northwest corner of Castle Pines Parkway and Monarch Boulevard in the City of Castle Pines officially began in August by the developer Western States Lodging (WSL). The senior living facility will include 177 units with 66 independent living, 80 assisted living and 31 memory care units.
Currently, the existing roads, curbs, gutters, and utilities that were on site for a previous retail development are being removed. Next, WSL will grade the site and prepare to pour footings for the one-, two- and three-story buildings that will be part of the campus. The anticipated date of completion is fourth quarter of next year.
Cole Smith of WSL commented, “We’re very excited for Legacy Village of Castle Pines. For several years we have searched the Front Range for the opportunity to open our first senior community in Colorado. Castle Pines provided the perfect combination of an area with no other senior housing, great residential neighborhoods adjacent to the site, convenient access, and good proximity to other health care and services. We look forward to this community opening next year.”
