Party in the park

It was a beautiful August afternoon for the annual Chamber of Commerce Party in the Park … until it wasn’t.

More than 3,000 attendees had a wonderful time visiting vendor booths, bounce houses and the beer tent, eagerly anticipating the evening fireworks, sponsored by the City of Castle Pines. Shortly after the fireworks show began, Mother Nature intervened and opened the sky with a deluge of rain, leaving attendees running for cover under tents.

“It was quite a lightening show, along with our fireworks,” shared Tina Hansen, executive director of the Chamber. “We are glad everyone made it home safely, even though we were all soaked!”

The good news is that, as Colorado residents, we are always prepared for the possibility that the weather will change unexpectedly.
