Submitted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Inc. (BBBSC) honored Pinnacol Assurance at its annual Awards Ceremony and Reception on April 30 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Presented by Global Technology Resources Inc., the evening brought together 100 of BBBSC’s top supporters to celebrate 91 years of giving at-risk youth a better chance at a brighter future through mentoring.

Mayor John Hickenlooper welcomed guests with stories of how mentor relationships in his childhood impacted him as an adult.

Pinnacol Assurance took home the highest corporate honor with the Top Company of the Year award for its ongoing and generous support of BBBSC.

Pinnacol encourages its employees to volunteer as mentors for youth and allows them to take time out of their work days to volunteer.

Dave DeForest-Stalls, President/CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, said, “We are immensely appreciative of Pinnacol’s support. I really admire that … they support, encourage and champion giving back to our community.”
