Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2011 on Wednesday, May 18, at Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch. This rite of passage from student to young adulthood was well attended and culminated a full week of senior activities at the high school.

Senior week included a senior wall lunch on May 13, where seniors were invited to leave their handprint on the RCHS senior wall. There was also a senior reception held on May 16 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center with music, guest speakers, dessert bar, and a senior class video. In addition, on May 17, there was an awards ceremony in which 19 students were presented with plaques to be placed on the RCHS Wall of Honor.

Holly Coffee, Castle Pines resident and parent to Wall of Honor graduate, Rebecca Coffee, remarked about graduation, “Everything about the ceremony was very nice and very respectful.  Rock Canyon has always been known as a school with great kids, and that was shown in the ceremony.  Principal Rauh commented that this graduating class earned $6.4 million in scholarships; they are just an awesome bunch of kids!  It truly was a wonderful day!”
