Locally-owned winery Ruby Trust Cellars held its Open House and Release Party on August 10 and the event was a huge success.

Those who attended had the chance to sample wines and purchase them at a special discount. With attendance and sales up more than 50 percent from last year, owners Braden Dodds and Ray Bruening spent the afternoon pouring numerous samples of their 2011 wines – Fortune Seeker, Gunslinger and The Smuggler.

Attendees came from as far away as Golden, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs and included neighbors, Facebook friends, representatives from restaurants and wine stores, and many who had tasted the wines at the Castle Rock WineFest the week prior. Dodds and Bruening were thrilled with the turnout, “The feedback we received was great, with many saying they can’t wait until next year’s party,” remarked Bruening.

A good crowd of customers and buyers converged on Castle Pines Village to taste and purchase the just released 2011 wines from Ruby Trust Cellars.

Castle Pines Village resident and winery co-owner Ray Bruening explains the process of making the wines to potential customers. The wines are aged for two years in new and seasoned French, American and Hungarian oak barrels.
