Rocky Heights Middle School (RHMS) sixth grader Josh Wright was inspired to help his sister Rachel, an eighth grader who has diabetes.
Each year, Josh and Rachel, along with family and friends, participate in the annual “Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes” walk/run in Denver. Josh wanted to help raise funds for his sister’s team “Rachel’s Racers” as they prepared for the walk on October 2.
Josh joined up with the RHMS running club, “Share the Run”, raising awareness of the walk and collecting funds for Rachel’s team. Through his efforts and the generosity of fellow students, a $150 donation was made to “Rachel’s Racers.”
