National Signing Day is a big day for many high school seniors. It is the first day these seniors can sign a binding national letter of intent for college sports. You could say it is their own fifteen minutes of fame!

National Signing day, always the first Wednesday in February, fell on February 3 this year. There were eighteen Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) athletes who signed with colleges. Those athletes were: Mackenzie Akerfelds, University of Arizona; Reid Carter, University of Nebraska at Omaha; Gary Davis, Briar Cliff, Sioux City; Evan Fisch, Carnegie Mellon, Pennsylvania; Alison Forrester, CSU; Tanner Krietemeier, University of Nebraska; Emily Leines, Wesleyan Nebraska; Keith Link, Air Force Academy; Jacob Lissek, Fairleigh Dickinson, New Jersey; Meghan Long, Dusquene, Pennsylvania; Alex Mierau, University of Puget Sound, Washington; Kyle Milberg, University of Denver; Kenzi Mitzner, Grand Valley State University; Court Pietra, School of Mines; Meredith Rollins, South Western University, George Town, Texas; Andrew Sandlin, Fort Lewis; Tarrah Tate, North Carolina Ashville; Erik Wetzel, University of West Florida.

Congratulations to all of these student athletes on their athletic and academic accomplishments; see you on campus!
