The Connection launches food and dining guide

By Terri Wiebold, Editor

February marks the inaugural issue of The Connection Food & Dining guide, a resource for readers packed with coupons and specials to bring more value to your dining experience.

Education.  Experience.  Value.   For many years, The Castle Pines Connection has featured stories and has educated readers about great restaurants and local hot spots through our “Restaurant Spotlight; A Taste of …” segment in the newspaper.   A few years ago, we added the “Recipe Exchange,”  featuring home-made recipes from our very own foodie Lisa Crockett, sharing her personal food experience with you (see previous page).   Both have been combined into the  new “Culinary Corner” section of the newspaper, and all have been very well received by our readers … and now you tell us you are ready for more.   With the addition of this food and dining guide inserted into The Connection newspaper each month, we hope to bring added value to your dining experience as well.

This guide offers great restaurant specials, terrific coupons, and lots of casual and fine dining options from which to choose.  It will be a monthly insert in The Connection newspaper with different specials and coupons every issue.  Send us your suggestions and your favorites – there will be new features monthly dedicated solely to food and dining.

Toss the guide in your car, purse, briefcase, or backpack so you have it handy when you are ready to dine.   Send us a photo of you holding the dining guide at or inside any business featured in that month’s issue for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to one of the businesses featured within.   We will select a winner every month and that photo may be shared in the following month’s publication.  Post your photos on Facebook and/or share with the Castle Pines Connection at or e-mail the photo to

We can’t wait to hear from you and get your thoughts on the new food and dining guide.  Please be sure to tell the businesses you visit that you saw their ad in The Connection Food & Dining guide.  The more feedback they receive, the more likely they are to include your favorite coupons.
