Country Club at Castle Pines Transformation

The Country Club at Castle Pines, a centerpiece of The Village at Castle Pines, rang in the New Year with approval from its membership of an extensive $17.1 million reinvention project.

The private, member-owned club plans to bring new dining and social features to the clubhouse, as well as cliff side amenities to include pools, fitness, paddle tennis, pickleball, tennis and the addition of an indoor/outdoor golf performance center to its already expansive 20-acre practice facility.

One of the most iconic clubs in all of Colorado, The Country Club at Castle Pines already boasts a world class championship Jack Nicklaus Signature course and award-winning pro shop.

“We are very excited about starting off 2020 with the mandate to create new amenities and improvements that elevate the total member experience for the entire family,” said Dave Whalen, chief operating officer of the Club. “This is an exciting new chapter for The Country Club at Castle Pines, and we can’t wait to offer our members and their guests a world class experience beyond golf and dining among the most picturesque landscape in all of Denver.”

The Country Club at Castle Pines plans to begin its $17.1 million reinvention project with architectural design beginning in early 2020 and construction beginning late 2020 to early 2021.

The reinvented clubhouse will include an expanded dining room and patio with views of Pikes Peak, Devils Head and the Front Range while perched at nearly 6,800 feet. It will also feature an exclusive dining space capable of larger functions.

The plans also include an infinity-edge pool with adult and children’s environments directly overlooking the mountains. Members will enjoy poolside dining and drinks from the new warming hut that will also feature fitness and social space for viewing the competition happening on the four new paddle tennis courts.

“The members are very excited about all of the coming improvements,” said Larry Woods, president of the club’s board of directors. “There has always been a sense of pride among the community in the club, the golf course and the wide range of benefits and amenities offered here at The Country Club at Castle Pines. The experiences of the past year and a half have only strengthened that pride, and I expect it will grow even stronger as we all take advantage of the newest amenities.”
