Village Fourth of July activities

Village 4th of July 2020

Residents from The Village at Castle Pines celebrated and showed their patriotic spirit in a variety of ways this year.

Kicking the Fourth of July weekend off, the Castle Pines Homes Association (CPHA) hosted an old-fashioned drive-in movie viewing of the 2009 Disney movie “Up.” The large blow-up screen set up at the Canyon Club field provided the visual, while audio of the movie was heard over an FM frequency radio station. The CPHA provided popcorn, candy and drinks.

Residents lined up for a car parade, where participants decorated their cars, SUVs, golf carts and four wheelers in their best patriotic theme.

The celebration continued with a BBQ lunch “drive-thru” event at the Canyon Club and Summit; special thanks to Flying Horse Catering for a great meal.

Chalk art drawings decorated driveways throughout the neighborhood all week long. Neither rain, nor hail nor social distancing could keep The Village at Castle Pines from celebrating our nation’s independence.
