Timber Trail starts “modified” schedule

Budget cuts and larger class sizes mean that Timber Trail Elementary will be switching from its year-round, four-track schedule to a more traditional one, though it will still be slightly different from other schools in the Castle Pines community.

Rather than the week-long fall break and spring break observed at other schools in the community, Timber Trail will follow a “modified” traditional schedule, taking two weeks off. In order to hold school for the state-mandated number of hours, they will begin roughly a week earlier in the fall and end a week later in the spring. The decision to follow this calendar was made following a vote by parents of students enrolled at the school.

Students at Timber Trail will start school on Wednesday, August 4.
