The Country Club at Castle Pines (CCCP) was host to the thirteenth tw telecom Charity Invitational Golf Tournament to benefit SungateKids at the end of August. During the years, the company and its partners have raised $3.5 million, and this year alone, the company and its participating vendors raised $420,000.

Douglas County-based tw telecom is a national provider of voice, internet and data networking solutions for businesses throughout the country. Each year, the company invites its vendors and guests to participate in the golf tournament. With seventy-six companies and 176 golfers from all over the world participating, the event has become so popular that they now have a double shotgun start to accommodate all those who play. Diana Goldberg, executive director of SungateKids remarked, “tw telecom does an amazing job of marketing this event. They do it in a way that we never could, and we are so grateful!”

SungateKids is a Denver-based non-profit organization that provides forensic interviews for victims of child abuse, and support for their families. They advocate for children who have been abused and help families to heal. Last year, SungateKids’ forensic interviewers conducted more than 700 interviews and provided services and support to more than 1,000 children and their family members. Chairman, CEO and President of tw telecom Larissa Herda recognizes the value of this important organization and is thrilled to host this tournament each year. “We host this tournament for a good cause and have a lot of fun. We wanted to support an ‘underdog’ organization, and SungateKids is a very important charity that provides an important service to our community.”
