Voters to Elect New School Board Members

by Lisa Crockett

Nine Douglas County residents will vie for three open spots on the Board of Education in this November’s election. School Board members are elected by the entire county, but once elected will represent a specific district.

“Two of the open spots are in the Highlands Ranch area, and the third is in Parker,” said Nona Eichelberger, Secretary to the Board of Education.

Candidates must live in the district they will represent and are limited to two four-year terms of service. The school board election will be included in this year’s mail ballot.
