Each year as summer turns to fall, leaves start dropping from the trees, and sometimes snowflakes even fly, Buffalo Ridge Elementary (BRE) puts out boxes to collect hats and mittens to deliver to Stevens Elementary located in Wheat Ridge.
For the past several year’s BRE has conducted both a school supply drive for their sister school as well as a hat and mitten drive to help others that are less fortunate.
“The students of Buffalo Ridge Elementary recognize their good fortunes while also recognizing that there are many out there with less. It is such a honor and privilege for me to work with these amazing young philanthropists,” said Ally Berggren, BRE principal.
