Actual Compared to Budget: The City is in a favorable position to budget both at the revenue and net funds level. Total revenues YTD thru August are $2,486,986, exceeding budget by $449,140 or 22%. Revenues over expenditures (equivalent to net profit) YTD thru August are $449,099, exceeding budget by $660,217 or by 312.7%.
Actual Compared to Forecast: Total revenue for the month of August was favorable to forecast by $36,572, total expenditures were favorable to forecast by $38,291. Revenues over expenditures (equivalent to net profit) were favorable to forecast by $74,863.
Prior Year: The City’s finances are favorable in comparison to the prior year. Revenues for 2010 thru August YTD exceeded 2009 revenue by $300,314. Expenditures thru August 2010 fell below 2009 expenditures by $57,633, demonstrating cost savings against the prior year.
