Join the dog days of summer at Parker Barker Days

By Elean Gersack

Bring your dog and head over to O’Brien Park in Parker on September 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the most fun a dog can have in one day!

The park is located at 10795 Victorian Drive, at the northeast corner of Parker Road and Main Street. As summer draws to an end, the H2O’Brien pools and fields will turn into a temporary canine haven.

Fido can paddle around in the doggie-designated pools, play catch in the ball fields and show-off during agility demonstrations. Product vendors will be handing out samples and information.

The cost is $8 for non-Parker resident dogs ($6 for residents), but owners are free. There is a limit of two dogs per owner. Pre-registration is highly recommended for this popular event. Expedited check-in for pre-registered pet owners is available at the event, and all canine companions are treated to a doggie goody bag.

To learn more about the guidelines for Barker Days or to pre-register online, visit http://registration.parkerrec.com, click on “Special Events” and then on “Parker Rec Center Special Events” and finally on “Barker Days.”
