Castle Pines Athletics to host summer camps

Castle Pines Athletics kicked off its first season in Castle Pines North with spring soccer. Despite the crazy spring of rain, sleet, snow, and even a few blizzards, kids ages four to eight enjoyed playing at home in Castle Pines North. Emma K. Children ages 4 to 12 now have the opportunity to enjoy week-long summer camps right here in Castle Pines North (CPN.)

Castle Pines Athletics, a new recreational youth sports program that began this spring, is hosting 12 summer camps at the local parks in CPN.

The summer camp program offers a variety of camps to choose from including: Camp Castle Pines, Castle Pines All Stars, soccer camps, volleyball camps and cheerleading camps.

“Coach Joe Bishop, the physical education instructor for American Academy, will be leading our summer camp program,” said Lane Roberts, director of Castle Pines Athletics. “All of our coaches are adults who are educators and/or athletes with years of experience in working with children.”

Summer camp class sizes are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. Castle Pines Athletics welcomes both residents and non-residents in the summer camp program.

To register for a summer camp, go to www.castlepinesathletics.com and click on “summer camps.”

In addition to the camps, Castle Pines Athletics currently has 18 T-ball and baseball teams set to play on the fields in CPN this summer.

“Our T-ball and baseball program begins June 15,” said Roberts. “We have so many children looking forward to playing baseball with their friends and neighbors. This program really brings our community together on our own fields.”

Special thanks to T-ball and baseball sponsors Play It Again Sports of Castle Rock, DazBog Coffee, and Dr. Dunbar of Castle Pines Orthodontics for their generous contributions to Castle Pines Athletics and their support of the Castle Pines community.
