This year, Castle Pines Athletics will kick off its fifth year of bringing sports to local families.

“We are so excited about this year,” said Castle Pines Athletics manager, Shannon Terry. “We are really looking forward to starting our fifth year in Castle Pines. We have children in this program who started playing with us when they were in preschool, and it has been fun watching them grow every season.”

As always, all practices and games are held at the four local parks in Castle Pines. “We are so grateful to the City of Castle Pines and to the Castle Pines North Metro District for helping us secure the four local fields each season,” said Terry.

Providing sports to local children of Castle Pines would not be possible without the support from Castle Pines Orthodontics, fifth-year sponsor of the program.

“When this program first started, Dr. Andrew Dunbar did not hesitate to become a sponsor for Castle Pines Athletics and help us begin our journey of bringing sports to local children,” said Castle Pines Athletics founder Lane Roberts. “We simply could not have done it without his ongoing support.” Other sponsors of the program include DAZBOG Coffee, Little Italy Pizza, Wayne Ruegge, CPA, and Sports Authority.

There are no price increases for 2013, and all fees include a team t-shirt and a participation award. The deadline to register for youth co-ed recreational soccer and soccer tots and avoid a late fee is February 20. Volunteer coaches are always needed and much appreciated.
