Castle Pines City Council is seeking to fill a vacancy in the city clerk position. The term of office will commence upon appointment by city council and will continue until November, 2013. Any registered elector of the city who is at least 18 years of age is eligible to be appointed to the office of city clerk. There are no other eligibility requirements.
Duties and responsibilities include attendance at all meetings and study sessions of the city council. During such meetings, the city clerk performs duties such as verbally calling roll of council members as well as recording and preparing minutes. The city clerk signs and attests documents to verify signatures on official city documents, and is expected to be available for such purposes with reasonable, advance notice. The city clerk is a volunteer position.
