Colorado Gives Day is December 9

Mark your calendars for December 9, Colorado Gives Day (CGD). The Colorado Gives Foundation (CGF) launched CGD in 2010, and since then, Coloradans have raised more than half a billion dollars, including more than $54 million in 2024 alone. This year marks the 50th anniversary of CGF.

While the recognized “big day” is in December, the CGD campaign begins in full force on November 1, though fundraising occurs year-round. CGD also provides other benefits to nonprofits, such as helping them to simplify their donation process, access educational resources and create custom giving webpages.

Individuals, groups and businesses can get involved and engage in some friendly competition by starting a fundraiser for a chosen nonprofit(s), share progress on a customizable team landing page, and use the suite of tools and resources that CGD provides to plan and promote a successful campaign.

Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF) is the regional champion for Douglas County-based nonprofits that participate in CGD and the “give where you live” campaign. DCCF produces an annual Douglas County Nonprofit Giving Guide, which is intended to be a resource for anyone wanting to learn about the wide range of philanthropic organizations located within the County. It is a tool that can be used to quickly support participating nonprofits on CGD and throughout the year. The 2025 Giving Guide will be available later this month at dccf.org.
