New mail center in Village provides business services

A new store in the Village at Castle Pines shopping center is now offering a variety of business-related services. Village Postal, adjacent to MiYo bakery and café, offers U.S. Postal services, Fedex (express and ground services), copying, faxing, packing services, gifts, cards and gift wrap. In addition, Village Postal will offer secure shredding services.

“Documents to be shredded will be weighed and then placed in a secure, locked box by the customer,” said Village Postal owner Nannette Park. “We don’t have a key to the box, the shredding is done securely by Cintas and then the paper is recycled.”

Documents are shredded into a confetti-like mixture and then co-mingled with shredded materials from other people, virtually eliminating the possibility that materials could be re-assembled. Staples, paper clips, and plastic can all be shredded. Shredding costs $1.10 per pound.

Customers who frequently mail packages to the same recipients have the option of storing address information in Village Postal’s computer system to save time at checkout.

MiYo and Village Postal are both owned by Danny and Nannette Park and share an entrance, allowing easy movement from one to the other.

“It’s really a nice convenience for people, they can come in and buy stamps, mail a letter and get a cup of coffee all in the same place,” said Nannette.

Nannette said that services currently offered will likely be expanded and Village Postal is planning to have post office boxes available to customers soon.

“We have very loyal customers at MiYo, and it’s nice to have their support in this business as well,” said Nannette.

Village Postal is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
