Zonta rewards dedication and service

Nicole Given, a recent graduate of Rock Canyon High School, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Zonta Club of Douglas County. A resident of Castle Pines, Given plans to attend Boston College, majoring in communications.

Given was a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America and her church youth group, and also was a foster mom for kittens.

Each year, the Zonta Club of Douglas County raises funds through several activities, such as its Trivia Night, and awards a scholarship.

“Nicole is an outstanding young woman and we’re pleased to be able to help her continue her education,” said Judy Crenshaw, president of the Zonta Club of Douglas County. “Through her many volunteer activities, she exemplifies outstanding leadership qualities.”
